New Teaser Launched By Brand For Kawasaki Vulcan 650 S

Kawasaki’s brand new teaser picture on its own official India website certainly tells us of their organization’s plans to go into the Indian cruiser section together with the Vulcan S. This parallel-twin-engine cruiser will proceed head-on against Harley-Davidson’s Street 750/Street Rod and Royal Enfield’s forthcoming 650cc Interceptor; however, the Enfield is going to be priced much lower.

Kawasaki Vulcan 650 S

The Kawasaki Vulcan S motorcycle is predicted to be more locally-assembled alongside the remainder of their 650 families in the Chakan plant. The 6.5 lakh ex-showroom cost can only be anticipated should Kawasaki launches it with no attachments, unlike what they did using all the Versys-X 300. The accessories Versys-X 300 bumped up the cost, considerably. We had been anticipating Kawasaki to start the Vulcan S in the Auto Expo 2018.

Hero HX250R Shelved: Focus Now Turns To 300cc Models

After showcasing it at the Auto Expo 2014 for the first time (and  later on at the 2016 AE as well), boasting about some segment-shattering figures like 31.4 PS of power, superfast top speed of 165 kmph etc, removing the suffix ‘R’ from the nameHero has eventually had the Hero HX250R shelved – something which they never looked technically competent to build!

So, its like without entering a segment, and after almost four years of sitting on the project, Hero thinks that the market has moved on. Interestingly, they have not been able to even venture into the 200 cc space yet – a segment which they confirmed with the Xtreme 200S at the last Auto Expo. However, Markus confirmed that they are very close to introducing the motorcycle in India – which according to our consensus does not have many people excited!
